The Magnalight LEDT48-24W-T8 24 watt T-series LED tube lamp is an excellent choice for upgrading existing fluorescent lamp fixtures to LEDs as well as a direct replacement for our own LED light fixtures.
The 24 Watt T-series LED Bulb works with any T8 fluorescent light fixtures, can be configured for any T series fluorescent bulb fixture and requires no ballast for operation. Internally, you simply bring the black wire to one end and the white wire to the other. The polycarbonate lens diffuses the light and makes this bulb ideal for food safe environments as there is no glass. The aluminum housing serves as a heat sink and provides rigidity and strength for this LED bulb. These LED light tubes can also be plugged directly into fluorescent light fixtures with magnetic ballasts, which makes them an ideal retrofit for older T12 fluorescent lights with magnetic ballasts.
In fluorescent light fixtures with electronic ballasts, the operator needs to bypass the ballast and wire the power directly to one or both ends of the LED tube (black wire to one end and white wire to the other). Thus, this is an ideal upgrade for 4 foot fixtures with failed ballasts. These multi-voltage LED fluorescent bulbs run directly off any voltage ranging from 110 volts to 277 volts, including 120 volts, 230 volts, 277 volts, etc. We now offer 12/24 volt LED T-series bulbs as well. |

These LED tube lamps are Buy American Act compliant and produced in a World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement country and are NOT made in China. They are made in our dedicated factory in South Korea. These are the second generation of our 24 watt LED tubes. Using an Extech light meter, these LED T-series lamps produced 2.5 times the foot candles of the same 4 foot fixture with two T5 bulbs when measured at a distance of 8 feet. Lumen output is 90 lumens per watt for a total of 2,160 lumens per bulb.
These LED fluorescent tube replacements can be used as upgrades or replacements to our own Magnalight.com explosion proof fluorescent lights, explosion proof paint spray booth lights as well as any other T series light fixture the operator already has in house. We have specially designed these for our explosion proof light fixtures, however, they can be used as replacements in standard fluorescent light fixtures. In our facilities, we replaced worn or spent fluorescent bulbs with these LED bulbs by removing the ballasts and bringing the white wire to one end the black wire to the other end of the LED tube.

Basics of Selecting Effective Paint Booth Lighting
The lighting of choice for most paint booths is standard four foot long fluorescent bulbs, usually arranged in fixtures containing either two or four bulbs grouped together. Fluorescents are popular because they produce a very wide spread of light output, which helps to evenly and uniformly illuminate the irregular surfaces of vehicles and thus better reveal imperfections in the surface to be coated. Fluorescent lamps are also popular because they can be had in a variety of color temperatures, w [...] |

Comparing LEDs and Incandescent Bulbs: Opposite Ends of the Lighting Spectrum
The process by which LEDs produce light is called electroluminescence, and it is far more efficient than the process of resistance used in incandescent lamps. Very little energy is wasted as heat in an LED, and more of the electrical energy converted to light. This allows LEDs to produce the same amount of light as an incandescent while using only a fraction as much electrical energy. [...] |

Effectively Lighting the Hazardous Enclosed Workspace
Confined space lighting must also provide the widest possible coverage of the workspace and be bright enough and of high enough quality to allow trouble free visual determinations.
