Larson Electronics manufactures the
Magnalight 12 volt spotlights with magnetic base and 12 volt searchlights with magnetic base with magnetic bases and 16 foot cords in Dallas, TX. These
industrial grade 12 volt spotlights
have been a staple of the cable, telephone and electric utility industry since
1967. Magnalight has since its beginnings expanded this to include the military/law enforcement

The HAL-QP-1X150LED-100 Quadpod Mounted Hazardous Area LED Light from Magnalight produces 14,790 lumens of light capable of illuminating an area 18,000 square feet in size. Weather proof and U.L. listed for marine use, this LED equipped hazardous area light is a versatile and ideal lighting solution for both hazardous and non hazardous locations.
The HAL-QP-1x150LED-100 is a quadpod mounted hazardous area LED light and provides 18,000 square feet of work area coverage with 14,790 lumens of light output. This portable LED light tower has a removable LED light head mounted on top of a four leg steel quadpod for easy positioning of the unit from one area of the workspace to another. The LED light head on this unit produces a wide flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating enclosed areas such as tanks and containers and is suitable for hazardous locations where flammable vapors, gases and dusts may be present. This light is designed for heavy duty use in demanding conditions including emergency services, mining, construction, marine and petrochemical operations where durability and reliability is critical.

This portable LED light is comprised of a removable LED light head mounted atop a four leg tripod fabricated from heavy duty steel. This adjustable and collapsible quadpod pod can be extended to ten feet in two inch increments and collapsed to seven feet, while included solid wheels enable the operator to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location. The explosion proof LED light fixture can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamp can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side and locked into position.
Included with this LED light quadpod is 100 feet of SOOW cord which combined with 90 degrees of tilt offered by the LED light head provides an effective alternative to often cumbersome explosion proof string lights. The easy to collapse design of this LED work light allows Magnalight to avoid pallet freight charges when shipping and deliver these units via UPS next day air service, which in turn improves delivery time and reduces the cost to buyers.
The lamp housing on this light is weatherproof and constructed of die cast aluminum featuring a hinged, removable front-access door with two captive closure screws for easy servicing and heat/impact-resistant tempered flat door glass. This hazardous location light contains thirty CREE XLamp XPG® five watt LEDs producing 493 lumens each. These LEDs are arranged in rows and paired with high purity optics to produce 14,790 lumens and a 60 degree flood beam while only drawing 1.25 amps on 120V, making these units ideal for use as highly efficient yet powerful work and area lights. The HAL-QP-1X150LED-100 hazardous location LED light is an ideal replacement for fragile and hot running 400 watt metal halide floodlights.
The LED light head on this unit measures 15 inches in width, 11 inches in height, and 14 inches in depth which allows it to fit through most standard size manholes and entry points. The LED light head can be removed from the tripod, the tripod collapsed, and the entire assembly passed through a manhole and reassembled once inside.
This unit is also multi-voltage capable and can configured to operate on 120-277 volts 50/60 Hz. This LED light head retains 80% of its lumen output after 50,000 hours of use, far longer than incandescent or fluorescent lamps.
