HID flood lights with
permanent and magnetic mount options work on 12 and 24 volt DC systems and
provide illumination that extends 250 feet. The permanent mount and magnetic

The WCDE-4-MLK mobile light tower from Magnalight is a self sustained towable lighting package powered by a water cooled 17.5 horsepower (13.1 kw) diesel engine turning a single generator which produces 16kva @ 60Hz / 13.5kva @ 50Hz. This unit includes four, 1500 watt, Sulfur lamps producing a total of 660,000 lumens mounted atop a 30’ two stage hydraulic mast with cable operated remote adjustment controls to allow positioning of the lamps while the tower is extended. This light tower and linear sulfur halide light configuration delivers 3 times as much light as a comparably equipped standard metal halide light tower while consuming less fuel.
The WCDE-4-MLK mobile light tower from Magnalight is a high power mobile lighting system designed to provide large scale illumination for extended periods. This lighting package includes a diesel engine, generator, hydraulic 30’ tower, and four high output Sulphur lamps that can be individually adjusted from the ground while the tower is extended. Each lamp is protected by its own breaker and the two stage hydraulic tower design prevents possible tower free fall in the event of tower failure (like cable models).
The entire system is built onto a towable platform complete with hitch, heavy duty suspension, and heavy duty housing. This unit has a 60 gallon fuel tank and can operate for 70-110 hours without refueling.

Engine: The WCDE-4-MLK mobile light tower includes a four cylinder, four cycle, water cooled diesel engine that produces 17.5 horsepower. This engine is a Kubota 1505 series diesel and features push button electric starting, fuel pre-heater , hour meter and 60 gallon fuel tank capacity.
Generator: The 16kva @ 60Hz / 13.5kva @ 50Hz generator includes a built in automatic voltage regulator to ensure even and constant voltage to safely run sensitive electronics and computers. This generator supplies 240/120 VAC single phase or 240/480 VAC three phase, reaches steady peak output at 1500/1800 RPM, and has an amps base rate of 68.16 PF1.0. The generator housing is IP23 rated, Class H:UL1446 insulated, and rated for continuous operation at a 40 C ambient temperature with a temperature rise of 125 C.
Lights: The lighting system on this unit is comprised of four, high output, 1,500 watt sodium halide search lamps producing 110,000 lumens each with a color temperature of 5200 Kelvin, color index (CRI) of 75, and a lamp life of 3000 hrs @ 4 hr / start (continuous use depends on conditions). The lamps have a warmup time of 20% @2 seconds, 50% @10 seconds, and 100% @60 seconds. Hot restart times are 5 minutes in winter and 12 minutes in summer. The optical asemblies concentrate light output forward, resulting in a wide flood of light with up to 1/2 mile of beam reach. The lighting package includes remote control cables which enable operators to adjust each individual light fixture from the ground while the tower is in the raised position for optimum coverage.
Controls: The operations system for this unit is a left located control panel located within the light tower engine/generator enclosure. Each light is protected by its own breaker and switches allow individual on/off control of the lights while an individual hour meter tracks unit operating time.
Extendable Boom: The extendable boom is hydraulically extended up to 30 feet and is designed to prevent boom free fall in the event of boom failure as can occur with cable elevated towers. The tower can be extended to its full height in 12 seconds and sliding outriggers with slip pin locks located at each corner of the unit provide tower stability.
Housing/Trailer: All of the operating components are housed with a protective compartment with side lift up doors for easy access to the controls and engine/generator assembly. A 60 gallon fuel tank provides 70 to 110 hours of continuous operation. The entire unit sits on a trailer towing frame equipped with 14" tires and 2,000 leaf springs and includes a dual 2" ball or pintel hitch. This trailer also features forklift pockets for easy lifting and loading/unloading of the unit.
Additional Features: The WCDE-4-MLK mobile light tower includes a weather proof CLIPSAL load center with OPTIONAL GFI breakers and an IP66 rating providing protection from water ingress. This unit is wired to AS3000 mine specs with liquid tight sealed conduits and AS3000 mine spec laced terminations.
