HID flood lights with
permanent and magnetic mount options work on 12 and 24 volt DC systems and

The EPL-LM-36-4-MH 4000 Watt Hazardous Location Light Tower from Magnalight is a 36 foot extendable light tower equipped with four Class 1 Division 2 metal halide light fixtures producing 110,000 lumens each. The four 1,000 watt metal halide lamps produce a combined 440,000 lumens of light, allowing this unit to effectively cover large work areas with high quality illumination.
The EPL-LM-36-4-MH telescoping steel light tower is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy 4 Class 1 Division 2 approved metal halide light fixtures in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights of up to 36 feet for effective application. This two section light boom can be extended to 36 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 16 feet when not in use. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a lower section 20 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter and an upper section 16 feet in length and 3 inches in diameter. The mast is elevated using an included 1,000 lbs hand winch with 1/4 inch cable and is extended to its full height using a second 1,000 lbs winch.
Included with this light tower are four of our HALPRM-1000WMH metal halide fixtures producing a combined total of 440,000 lumens of light output at 4,000 watts. Class 1 Division 2 groups A, B, C and D approved, these metal halide fixtures are also UL1598 approved for outdoor marine use and IP65 rated. The Class 1 Div 2 rating, high power and durability of these fixtures makes them ideal for use in common commercial applications as well as hazardous locations where flammable petrochemical vapors may occassionally be present.

These light towers are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 12 inch square, 1/2 inch thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept four mounting bolts (3/4 inch). A 24 inch wide and 1/4 inch thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and secure platform for the 4 included metal halide lamps. This light tower when lowered to 16 feet can withstand winds up to 125 mph. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 16 feet long, 4 feet wide, 3 feet tall. We also offer a choice of either the manual 1,000 lbs hand winches included standard or optional electric winches.
Lights: The lighting system on this unit is comprised of four 1,000 watt metal halide lamps producing 110,000 lumens of light each attached to the end of the telescoping light boom. These floodlights produce a wide flood light pattern capable of illuminating a approximately 5 acres with a combined total of 440,000 lumens of light. Each floodlight is securely fastened to the light boom and each lamp includes a support bracket to help maintain lamp stability within its housing. The metal halide lamps with this unit are UL Standard 1598, 1598A and 844 approved, IP65 rated, Class1 Division 2 groups A, B, C and D approved and carry a T3B temperature rating. Each light has an integrally contained ballast and is multi-voltage capable with included primary taps for 120V, 208V, 240V, and 277V power. These lamps are also available in a separate configuration for 220 Volts, 50 hz and 480 volts.
The housings on these lamps are constructed of copper free cast aluminum and are coated with an architectural bronze Polyester finish. The lens is formed of thermal shock and impact resistant glass and sealed to the housing with a heavy duty, high temperature, long life silicone rubber gasket. The lamps socket is a specification grade mogul base porcelain unit with a heavy gauge brass, nickel-plated, double lamp-grip screw shell and spring-loaded center contact. The ballast is contained within the lamp housing and wiring is routed through a 3/4-in. NPT threaded conduit opening.
