The Magnalight LEDTH-4X2E Trailer Hitch Mounted Light Tower comes complete with two IP68 rated 12 watt LED light heads and produces a 1,440 lumen flood of light capable of illuminating an area 90’ in length by 100’ feet in width. This trailer hitch mounted unit is multi-voltage capable and can be used with 9-42VDC and ideal for use as work area illumination, event lighting, emergency operations lighting, equipment lighting and is suitable for use on any vehicle that will accept a hitch mount.
The LEDTH-4X2E work area light tower provides operators with a very versatile lighting solution for operations where easily managed illumination of moderately sized areas is required. Two IP68 rated 12 watt LED floodlights create a total of 1,400 lumens of bright white light and provide light coverage for an area 90’ long by 100’ wide. This unit can also be ordered with LEDs in spotlight configuration to produce a beam 120’ long by 75’ in width. This light tower is extendible from 3 feet to 12 feet and incorporates a trailer hitch mounting system that allows operators to easily secure the fixture to vehicles at any location. This mounting system provides extremely secure placement of the tower in areas where high winds are commonly encountered as the weight of the vehicle removes the possibility of the unit swaying excessively or tipping over.

Durability: The LEDTH-4X2E trailer hitch mounted light tower incorporates two of our extreme environment series LED light emitters on a collapsible aluminum tripod. These LED lights each have Four Edison Edixeon® Emitters containing CREE EZBright® three watt LEDs producing 180 lumens which each are arranged in rows and paired with high purity 35 degree optics to produce a wide area flood beam with exceptional spread. Optional spotlight versions have 10 degree optics and produce a much longer and tighter spotlight beam. These weatherproof LED light bars are IP68 rated and waterproof to 3 meters, sealed against intrusion by dust and dirt and very ruggedly constructed to withstand the most demanding environments, conditions and applications.
The LED extreme environment series of LED light bars from Magnalight offer IP68 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. The LED lights with the ‘E’ part number designation are designed for extreme durability and are larger and nearly twice as heavy as their standard counterparts. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, are waterproof to three meters and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from thick extruded aluminum and the lenses are unbreakable polycarbonate. The Edixeon® LEDs offer inherent LED resistance to shocks and vibrations contributing to these units 15.6Grms rating of vibration tolerance. We recommend these LED lights for high stress - high vibratory conditions, high humidity climates, very cold areas and rough saltwater conditions. They are also well suited to environments where equipment is used in one temperature extreme and stored in another temperature extreme.
Mounting: The trailer hitch mounting system on this unit consists of a trailer hitch bracket which in turn holds the extendible aluminum light tower. The light tower is extendible from 3 feet to 8 feet and the entire system mounts to standard hitch receivers via the standard push bolt and locking pin used on most commonly used trailer hitch receiver mounts. This unit also includes several wiring options to further increase versatility and ease of use. The LED lights used with this light tower automatically sense incoming voltage levels and adjust input current accordingly, allowing the unit to be used with 9-42 volt DC current without any need for modifications or additional hardware.
Angle Adjustment: This unit allows operators to adjust the angle of the entire unit by positioning the trailer hitch at different angles. Adjusting the angle of the tower is accomplished by loosening a thumb bolt at the base of the hitch, which enables the mount to swivel 180 degrees (given enough ground clearance, a greater swivel angle can be achieved.) Once the desired angle is found, simply retighten the thumb bolt to lock the hitch into place. Alternatively, the light heads can also be adjusted while the hitch is at a lock-in position. The LED lights are mounted on trunnion u-brackets which enable further adjusting of the light output direction. Simply loosen the thumb bolts on either side of the LED unit and rotate or tilt the LEDs manually. The trunnion brackets allow the LED light heads to tilt through 270 degrees of vertical movement.
Connectors: These units connect both LED light heads together using a Y-connector which then connects to the power source cord. There are several connecting cords to choose from with this unit which add to this unit’s portability and convenience.
3 year warranty replacement on this LED light. After 30 days, the customer ships the failed LED light and/or LED bulb to Larson Electronics’ Magnalight at their expense. If the failure is a manufacturer defect, we will ship a new replacement to the customer. If failure occurs within 30 days of receipt, Larson Electronics Magnalight will provide a return label via email to the customer. When the failed light is returned, Magnalight will ship a new replacement.
