The GL-52482 Chrome Golight Stryker from Magnalight produces a 3,000 lumen light beam capable of reaching over 5,000 feet in distance. This 35 watt HID Golight offers wired remote pan and tilt control, a single dashmount joystick remote control, and a housing finished in durabale chrome. This Golight is weatherproof with a weatherproof remote control and operates with 12 volt DC current.
The GL-52482 HID HID Golight Stryker is designed for use in all weather conditions and produces 3,000 lumens of intense light output. These units feature dash mounted, wired, remote control operation that allows users to rotated the light 370 degrees with a hard stop and to adjust vertical tilt through 140 degrees. Remote operation is provided by a joystick style dash mounted remote that connects to the light via a 20 foot long controller wire. The remote is constructed of polycarbonate with rubber outercover for weatherproof durability and is mounted through 4 predrilled screw holes that are accessed by removing the rubber outer cover. Dash mount remotes are 4 inches long by 2.5 inches wide by 1/2 inch thick.
Remote Operation: Remote control functions include an on/off button, and up, down, left and right movement is controlled by a center located joystick. The light will continue movement as long as the joystick is held in position. Releasing the joystick stops movement and holds the Golight in position. Fast and slow mode buttons (turtle/hare) control the speed of the motor while the pan and tilt functions of the joystick are operated. Holding the button for 12 seconds in fast mode results in a full 370 degree rotation, and 8 seconds for full tilt. Slow mode is used for pinpoint accuracy at distance and is approximately 35 seconds for full rotation and 20 seconds for one full range of tilt.
Durability: The GL-52482 Golight Stryker is designed for demanding outdoor use with a weather resistant housing constructed of high quality ASA Luran thermoplastic that is heat resistant, impact resistant, UV resistant and able to withstand rugged use and abusive conditions. This particular Golight Stryker has a durable chrome finish that makes it ideal for vehicles and boats where an attractive appearance is desired. Also available are white, camouflage, and black finishes. Remote movement of this spotlight is provided by an automotive grade internal motor, gear, and transmission assembly that is constructed of LEXAN, brass, and stainless steel to provide rust and corrosion resistance as well as long life and reliable operation.
Golight Mounting: This light mounts using a detachable design with a separate permanent mount interlocking stainless steel mounting plate that is affixed to the mounting surface. The mounting plate is attached with 3 screws through predrilled holes which secure the plate to the mounting surface. The Golight Stryker attaches to the mounting plate via an interlocking base bracket and a single machine screw which secures the Golight to the mounting plate. This design simplifies mounting and allows users to easily detach the light from the mounting surface for servicing or storage.
Remote Control Mounting: To mount the remote the user removes the outer rubber cover of the remote control to expose four predrilled holes, which allows them to securely attach the unit to a mounting surface with 4 screws. The remote requires that a 2 inch hole be drilled in the mounting surface to accommodate the rear portion of the controller and wiring harness. The rear "shaft" of the mount, in combination with the base plate secures the remote. Once mounted, the user simply slips the rubber cover back onto the remote. A 20 foot harness is included (32 foot available).
Power: This Golight is connected to power through an included 1 foot pigtail cord and user supplied 16 AWG wire to connect the unit to the battery, fusebox, or to existing wiring. This light operates with 12 volts DC and draws 3 amps after an initial 7.2 amps - 60 second startup amp draw, making it ideal for vehicles, boats, ATVs, and similar sources of 12 volt direct current. This light can also be used as home and building security lighting using our 110-120 VAC to 12 VDC converter.
Light Output: The lamp in this Golight Stryker is a 35 watt high intensity discharge bulb which produces 3,000 lumens, or a 15 million retail candle power rating. This bulb is paired with a tight focus reflector and thick glass lens to produce a narrow spot beam 5,331 feet in length. This lamp has a 4100K color temperature, giving it very good color rendering and contrasting properties and the ability to clearly and sharply illuminate objects at long distances. This beam is effective to the far end of its reach, producing enough illumination to read a book by at 5300 feet.
This high power HID GOlight Stryker is ideal for hunting, security, boating, law enforcement, emergency services, utilities, and anywhere high power and remote control functionality are desired. This unit produces a more powerful and far reaching beam than halogen spotlights and uses less power on a 12 volt system, making it well suited to vehicles and boats where power supply is limited.
