Infrared LED light emitter with spot and flood combination output. This LED light emitter is designed to enable operators to direct power independently to either the spot or flood configured optics. This infrared LED light emitter can be configured with 850nm or 940nm infrared LEDs for best night vision operation. Compact form factor provides a narrow 10 degree spot beam from the upper 2 rows of 12 LEDs, while the lower 2 rows of 12 LEDs have 35 watt flood optics for a shorter wider beam. This light pulls 6 amps on 12 volts DC and 3 amps on 24 volts DC which makes it ideal for amp starved vehicles or smaller ATV type vehicles with limited or no alternator support for the battery.
24 LEDs - 72 Watts - 9-42 Volts
Available in 850nm or 940nm
700'L X 100'W spot beam
400'L X 225'W flood beam
Dual power connections for independent spot and flood operation. 20 foot vehicle harness provided with 3 position toggle switch. Power leads from the light are terminated with 2 pin Deutsch receptacles. Matching 2 pin Deutsch plugs are provided with the harness. Operators can provide their own custom switching solutions to direct power to either the spot or flood LED arrays.
The Magnalight approach to LED design incorporates proprietary optics designed to concentrate and focus the light produced by the LEDs. This enables the LED light emitter to produce a higher Lux/Watt ratio at distance.

This LED emitter light contains 24 3-watt high powered LEDs providing 72 watts of LED light power. This LED light emitter bar light runs on any voltage ranging from 9 Volts to 42 Volts. This 24 LED emitter light also produces an infrared light beam (non-visible) in the 850nm or 940nm range (customer’s choice).Night vision equipment is required to make use of this infrared beam.We do not filter the visible light with a cut off filter, instead we package 850nm or 940nm LEDs within the array to produce the infrared light. This enables 100 percent light energy transmission.
The wiring harness includes separate power leads that enable the operator to power the spot beam array (top 2 rows of LEDs) and the flood infrared array (bottom 2 rows of LEDs) separately. This enables the operator to switch from infrared spotlight to infrared floodlight without leaving the safety of the vehicle via a 3 position switch.
This LED light emitter bar light runs on any voltage ranging from 9 Volts to 42 Volts. These LED lights contain a voltage regulator.
The light produced by this LED emitter light offers true color illumination with bright, white light. This is ideal for visibility, roadway inspection, etc. The infrared light projects a powerful beam with coverage in both length and width.
The www.magnalight.com LED emitter light bar uses a patent pending LED and reflector combination to provide a high powered, projected light source for vehicles, heavy equipment and security applications. Each LED is combined with its own reflector. Typically LEDs are mounted against a surface and "glow". This glow is often effective at close range, but the light energy drops off rapidly. By pairing each LED with a reflector, the emitted light energy is concentrated and projected outward, so that the "drop off" in light energy does not occur until much greater distances. Like all reflector technology, the amount of light energy projected is directly related to the shape and material of the reflector, as well as the thickness and composition of the lens. The material composition and angle of the reflector, paired with the positioning and angle of the LED concentrates and directs the LED light, optimizing Lux/Watt performance at distance.
Each light bar is manufactured with an extruded aluminum housing, machined aluminum mounts and stainless steel hardware for strength, durability and weather resistance.
These LED Light Emitters come standard with aluminum supports with rubber shock isolators. The adjustable, shock insulated mounts are attached to a simple u-bracket type mount. The LED light can be mounted via a single 3/8 bolt at the center of the bracket that can be passed through a hole in the mounting surface or bracket.
All of our LED emitter bars are IP 68 rated, being both waterproof and dust proof.
This 8 inch wide bar with quantity 24 of 3 Watt LEDs, while drawing only 6 amps on 12 volts (3 amps on 24 volts) and offering a 50,000+ hour life span.
The light bar measures 8 inches long, 4.7 inches tall and 3 inches deep.

Most Magnalight LEDLB and LED10W series LED spotlights and floodlights are terminated with a Deutsch IPD / LADD DT04-2P connector. The mating connector plug is DT06-2S. Most LEDLB and LED10W series lights ship with mating connector as part of a harness or pigtail, depending on the model. You can review the technical details here. Some larger LED lights like the LEDLB-160X2 or LEDLB-200X2 or multiple function LED lights (i.e. high/low beam, modulating, IR/Visible combos) will have different Deutsch connectors.
3 year warranty replacement on this LED light (or LED bulbs for light fixtures with removable LED bulbs). After 30 days, the customer ships the failed LED light and/or LED bulb to Larson Electronics’ Magnalight at their expense. If the failure is a manufacturer defect, we will ship a new replacement to the customer. If failure occurs within 30 days of receipt, Larson Electronics Magnalight will provide a return label via email to the customer. When the failed light is returned, Magnalight will ship a new replacement.
Todays night vision technology is several orders advanced beyond the early systems and capable of producing images of surprising detail and clarity even in almost lightless conditions. The most advanced systems are reserved for military , law enforcement and Federal use only and make up what is known as Generation 4 night vision technology. Obviously, earlier systems are then known as Generation 3, 2 and of course 1. Generation three systems make up the majority of equipment available to the pu [...]
Light towers are a popular choice for the nighttime jobsite because of their ability to illuminate large areas with a great deal of high quality light. These light towers are generally an array of two to four metal halide lights mounted on telescoping poles and powered by a dedicated diesel generator. They can typically illuminate an area of approximately two acres and provide a great solution for contractors who need powerful illumination for large scale projects. [...]
Rechargeable spotlights and flashlights have become an increasingly important part of military operations. As recently as ten years ago military personnel in the field were forced to rely on personal lighting equipment that had very short operational times due to high energy consumption. This required the further addition of up to twenty pounds of batteries to keep them operational during a full mission deployment of ten days. [...]
When most of us think of night vision devices we usually picture the elaborate electronic headgear or special cameras used by military personnel. We usually assume the technology is complicated and the price exorbitant and so we also assume that attractive as being able to see in the dark may be, its beyond the realm of us mere mortals. [...]
Since its development over 50 years ago night vision technology has grown to include a wide range of devices that in some manner or another create the ability to see in what for all practical intents is near or total darkness. [...]
Although there is more than one way to see in the dark, there is without a doubt a great deal of qualification regarding the merits of each method when they are compared with each other. [...]
There are only two major types of night vision technology that have proven themselves both effective and practical for regular use; light amplification and thermal imaging. [...]
Growing in popularity due to increasing concerns with terrorism and criminal activities, active infrared technology has increased by leaps and bounds and led to an explosion in the low light security monitoring industry. [...]
When dealing with night vision style technology like security cameras or portable night vision scopes, it is all too possible to find yourself disappointed. [...]
Hunting at night is no easy task. Regulations and ordinances can sometimes be heavily set against anyone wishing to hunt at night. Spotlights and night vision devices although gaining some leeway as far as nuisance and non game animals are concerned are still heavily prohibited for use when hunting many of the more popular game animals.
