Part # EXP-DFL-LED Price: $214.00 Spec Sheet
Manual
|
Made in the USA
The Magnalight EXP-DFL-LED explosion proof LED flashlight light can be used as either an inspection light or a general area work light and has a runtime of up to 72+ hours with fresh batteries. Class 1 Division 1 Groups A, B, C, D, E and F rated, this flashlight is extremely durable and waterproof to 600 feet, making it ideal as a work light for damp or wet hazardous locations, all weather inspection light or high power dive light.
This explosion proof LED flashlight has a head machined from Mil-spec hard anodized aerospace aluminum and a body constructed of Acetal Polymer, which is the same material used in vehicle engine gears. The combination of the these two materials used in this flashlights construction make this LED dive light virtually indestrucible, yet still exceptionally lightweight. A high powered Cree Q5 LED provides exceptional power and long lamp life as well as good durability to help produce a light of excellent reliability and power.
|
|
|
The explosion proof LED flashlight uses standard double A batteries to give it a battery lifetime of over 72 hours. Also ideal as a Dive Light, this flashlight will run for 4+ hours at 275 - 180 Lumen. It will gradually decrease in lumen output as it runs low on battery power, however at the end of 72 hours, there will still be sufficient light to read a map, find a path, or catch someone's attention. If the operator chooses to purchase and equip the LED dive light with high performance lithium batteries, battery life span and lumen output will be increased.
This LED flashlight is Triple-O ring sealed (3 O-Rings come standard), and is pressure tested for up to 200 meters (roughly 600 feet). To operate this LED flashlight, the operator simply twists the cap until light illuminates; to turn off, and twists the cap slightly in the opposite direction until light turns off. The high power, waterproof construction and good durability of this explosion proof flashlight makes it ideal for use in hazardous locations, abusive environments, as a Dive Light, and areas where water and dampness may be encountered.

If LED Boats Lights Cost More, Why are They a Better Choice?
The result has been the development of efficient LEDs than now closely match the soft warm glow of the incandescent without giving up anything in terms of efficiency. Manufacturers of boat lighting have been quick to adopt these high grade LEDs into their fixture designs, and the result has been the explosive growth the LED boat light market.

LED Lighting and New Energy Policies Provide Opportunity for Savings and Increased Profit
Such examples are widespread and continue to grow in number as more business planners and lighting designers move to embrace LED lighting technology. Making the switch even more attractive are federal and state incentive programs that provide tax breaks, rebates, and assistance for businesses that wish to switch to energy efficient LED lighting. Lighting Color Temperature in Basic Terms and Applications
Commercial applications most often make use of lamps producing cool white light in the 4000 to 6500 Kelvin range because their light is sharper and more intense, with better color rendering and contrasting properties. Objects illuminated by these lamps appear brighter, more sharply defined, making these lamps well suited for offices, retail stores and commercial areas where detail and sharpness is important.
Lamps with temperatures around 5000-5500 Kelvin are usually considered to produce natu [...] |

IECex/ATEX and North American NEC HAZLOC Equipment Classification
North America is presently not operating with the IECex/ATEX schemes although some effort has been made to produce some homogenity between North American and European Standards, most notably the US and Canada's adoption of a Zone system (NEC 505) modeled after European Schemes. However, despite the great similarity between North American and European Zone systems, they are not identical and are not interchangeable.

Modern Lighting: Why LEDs are Leading the Way
Because of their solid state design, low power requirement, high efficiency and durable construction, LEDs offer a wide range of improvements over traditional light sources. Able to produce light in specific wavelengths, containing no gases, filaments or glass, and much smaller than traditional light sources, LEDs are a radically different way to produce light and as such, have much different properties than the traditional light bulb. Hazardous Locations: Collapse the Triangle and Prevent Ignition
With hazardous locations, it is rarely easy or practical to remove either oxygen or fuel. This is because it is impossible to operate an oxygen free environment, and the very compounds that are present are the very part of the industrial process. Thus, removing heat, or rather the source of ignition becomes the primary target for practicing prevention. Indeed, when incidents arise, it is often determined that “inadvertent ignition” had taken place. So, it is then important to identify and unders [...] |

Modern Military Spotlights: Versatile Lightweight Power
Rechargeable spotlights and flashlights have become an increasingly important part of military operations. As recently as ten years ago military personnel in the field were forced to rely on personal lighting equipment that had very short operational times due to high energy consumption.
