| Portable LED light tower, featuring two 12W LED lights on telescoping tripod that reaches to 8 foot and collapses to 3 foot. This portable LED light tower can adjusted to any height between 3 and 8 feet. Each powder coated, aluminum LED light head produces 720 lumens, draws 1 amp and can be positioned at any angle. Each LED light head can be positioned independently to point to 2 different directions. Each light can cover an area 90 feet long by 70 feet wide and is IP67 rated for wet area operation. The amount of illumination can be adjusted by positioning the light heads downward for more light closer to the light tower. Alternatively, the light heads can be pointed outward to cover more area. Operators can select spot beams for longer area coverage or flood beams, for shorter, wider area coverage. This particular fixture now comes with trunnion u-bracket mounts, this means operator can adjust heads at a 270 degree tilt while still being mounted to the tripod.
The heavy duty aluminum tripod is durable, lightweight and adjustable to any length between 3 feet and 8 feet. The tripod legs collapse and the light head bracket is removable for simple portability. The tripod is of heavy duty aluminum and stainless steel construction and the LED light heads are lightweight this portable LED light tower is stable, even in high wind conditions.
Because these lights only draw 2 amps on 12 volts, they will run 9 or more hours on just about any “jump start” battery pack found at any large retail outlet. For less than $50, you can purchase a ‘jump start’ portable battery pack from Wal-mart, Target or any auto parts chain store. Jump start portable battery packs are generally sold to help people jump start the dead batteries in their vehicle. These jump start kits are equipped with a cigarette plug socket. These LED tower lights are equipped with a 16 foot coil cord and cigarette plug. Of course, this portable LED light tower can be plugged directly into a vehicle's cigarette plug socket.
There are several applications for this telescoping LED light tower. This LED light can be easily stored and carried in a work truck for rapid deployment as a scene light for first responders to down lines, main breaks or accidents. Hunters will find value in this LED light configuration for feeder light applications. Other applications include temporary maintenance operations, tank cleaning, power washing and other maintenance applications where general area lighting is not available. Temporary event organizers will find value in these telescoping LED lights for general area lighting in outdoor arenas where temporary power distribution is unavailable or expensive.
Unlike our larger metal halide towers, these LED lights can be positioned next to the users. While our larger WAL-C-2XM 2000 watt metal halide lights on telescoping tripods cover more area, they are typically paired with large portable electrical distribution panels, transformers or diesel generators. The noise, fumes and high wattage electrical cabling usually requires that the operator position the portable light tower at some distance from the work area or event. While these LED light towers produce less light coverage than the large metal halide lights, they can be placed right next to the work area, event or operators. For this reason, the usable light may be similar.
