Covert Infrared lens securely positions over the bulb to ensure that all visible emitted light is blocked. This prevents oncoming traffic, animals, etc. from seeing the visible light. You will need night vision goggles in order to see objects at distance with this infrared lens on the Golight spotlight. There is a difference between infrared lens and a red hunting lens. If you do not own night visions goggles, binoculars, video camera, etc. and don't plan to purchase any, you should consider the Red Lens for Golight Radioray Remote Control Spotlight.

This lens kit includes a replacement bezel (lens ring) and snap in lens. The replacement bezel replaces the bezel that ships with the Golight remote controlled light. The replacement bezel attaches with the same four screws removed from the original bezel. Then the lens snaps in between the two extended tabs on either side of the bezel. To remove the infrared covert lens, simply pull the tabs outward to release the lens. This infrared lens is made from polymer (plastic) material.
