| Hazardous Area Light - 400 Watt Metal Halide light, providing 18,000 square foot of coverage with 36,000 lumens of light output. UL Safety Rated Class 1 Division 2 for Groups A,B,C and D and UL1598 listed for Outdoor Salt Water Marine use with an IP65 construction. Ballast is contained inside the weatherproof housing and this hazardous location light operates on 120 Volts AC. 7X6 NEMA type beam spread (flood light). Integral pulse start ballast.
Class 1, Division 2 rating for hazardous areas, where flammable petrochemical vapors are present sometimes, in a non-confined, open air work space. NOT FOR TANKS OR OTHER CONFINED SPACES.

This multi-purpose light is a popular flood light fixture, because of it's durability, powerful light output and weatherproof construction. Thus, it is a common choice for industrial flood lighting, even when operating in non-hazardous location environments. Operates effectively to -20 degrees F.
Can be mounted the wall or ceiling via an adjustable "yolk" type mount. The bracket is secured to the mounting surface and the angle of the light is adjusted and then locked into place via the bolts connecting the yolk to the light fixture.
This floodlight includes a die-cast aluminum housing and hinged, removable front-access door with two captive closure screws. The housing includes an integral ballast, heavy gauge coated steel trunnion mounting with vertical aiming degree markings and tempered heat-resistant door glass. All hardware is corrosion-resistant. All die-cast aluminum surfaces have an electrocoat dark bronze paint finish. The floodlight has a convenient external wiring box mounted on the bottom of the heavy-duty cast aluminum housing. The wiring box has a 3/4-inch threaded conduit entrance.
The optical assembly includes a precision-formed aluminum reflector and heat/impact-resistant tempered flat door glass and front door gasket. The aluminum reflector has a chemically bonded lightweight non-breakable ALGLAS® finish on both the inside and outside surfaces providing corrosion resistance, durability and ease of cleaning. The optical assembly contains a mogul base socket with superior lamp gripping. The socket has the ability to handle the higher pulse ratings of newer HID systems.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
This floodlight is provided with a trunnion bracket which can be mounted directly on flat surfaces or building fronts. The trunnion bracket has a clearance hole for a 3/4-inch bolt used for attachment for such mountings. The 1/2-inch holes on either side permit additional anchoring, where required. Tighten side trunnion bolts to 18 - 22 foot pounds.
AIMING
Slightly loosen bolts “”A’’ (two on trunnion) and tilt luminaire to desired position and retighten bolts.
LAMPS
Use only lamps specified on nameplate. Bulb not included with fixture. Observe lamp manufacturer’s recommendations and restrictions on lamp operation, particularly ballast type, burning position, etc.
Lamp Tightness – Mogul Base Lamp: The lamp should be securely inserted to the NEMA-EEI specified torque of 35 inch-pounds, which is best achieved by very firmly tightening to insure application of sufficient torque. Tightening must be sufficient to fully depress and load the center contact of the socket.
WIRING
Make all electrical connections in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any applicable local code requirements. Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it to nameplate. Three-conductor No. 14 cable (with 90° C minimum insulation) is recommended for making electrical connections to the P-154. Wiring is accomplished through the wiring box provided on the fixture. The box is provided with a size 3/4-in. NPT threaded conduit opening. Wiring methods must comply with NFPA 70 (The National Electrical Code), Article 501 for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous (Classified) Locations. To get inside the unit, open the door, loosen the (2) screws holding the reflector and remove the reflector. Verify the correct supply voltage and lamp wattage.
