Explosion proof light with cast aluminum housing and heat-resistant,  3/4" thick, rubber-gasketed glass lens withstand abuse in the most demanding environments, including saltwater marine locations.  The 70 watt metal halide lamp produces light output equivalent to a 400 watt halogen lamp, with less heat output and lower amp draw.  In addition, since there is no filament to break, this fixture is ideal for high vibration environments and the bulbs have a 2500+ hour life.  This explosion proof light fixture covers 13,000 square feet of area with illumination.   Equipped with a base stand and plastic covered, aluminum handle this portable hazardous location light is ideal for general illumination in any confined space area (silo, tank or manhole).  Side adjustment knobs enable operators to set the angle of light within those areas.

The spun aluminum base is 12 1/2" dia. with three 0.437" dia. holes for permanent mounting. Height is 15 7/8" with mounting base attached.  Explosion proof light fixture dimensions are 13 1/4" wide by 11 1/2" high by 12 1/2" deep.  Fixture weighs 25 pounds with base and cord.

Lights operate on 120 VAC and are supplied with 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord and explosion proof straight blade plug (other plugs available on request).

Explosion flood light encloses a double ended 70 watt metal halide bulb, internal ballast and aluminum finish reflector in a copper-free cast aluminum housing.  Shell, covers and sealed fittings are also made of copper-free aluminum.  This explosion proof flood light has a thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass lens and threaded joints lubricated with non-drying lubricant. Threaded joints between fixture shell and cover permit internal pressure to be dissipated and cooled, preventing the escape of flame or heat.
