Class 1 Division 2 fluorescent light specifically designed for corrosion resistant applications, including environments exposed to saltwater.  Designed specifically for heavy duty, vibration intensive, saltwater and corrosive environments.  The HALSS-48-2L is constructed with a stainless steel housing, poured in gasket and high impact acrylic diffuser.  This hazardous area light fixture is designed to withstand weather and saltwater conditions that will corrode aluminum based fixtures like our HAL-48-2L or are too rugged or vibratory for our HALP-48-2L fiberglass/polyester housing models.  The stainless steel latches secure the cover to the housing, where neoprene gaskets seal the fixture, making the internal area drip proof.  This fixture has UL 844 Class 1 Division II rating for Groups A, B, C and D as well as a UL 595 outdoor marine rating for saltwater applications.  Finally, this HALSS-48-2L hazardous location fluorescent light meets US Coast Guard specifications.

Mounting:
Stainless steel bracket mounts attached at each end of the fixture enables it to be simply secured to any surface.  The mounts provide flexibility in setting the angle of the fixture.  Three through holes provide sufficient mounting for any environment.

Multivoltage light accepts input ranging from 120 volts to 277 volts.

Bulb Features:
The fixture contains 2 bulbs.  All hazardous location lights are shipped with bulbs.  Our most popular standard lamp configuration uses 60 Watt High Output T-12 fluorescent lamps producing 4050 lumens per lamp (8100 lumens total).  We use electronic ballasts and these T12 lamps are the newer style T12, not the old style that worked on magnetic ballasts.  We also have other bulb options, including:

F54-T5/841/HO – 5000 lumens per bulb, 20,000 hours life, 4100 Kelvin color

F48-T12/HO – 4050 lumens per bulb, 12,000 hours life, 4100 Kelvin color
