LED Lights: LED lights offer several benefits for vehicle and equipment operators, including bright, white wide spot patterns, low amp draw, rugged durability and zero maintenance. Constructed with aluminum housings, metalized polycarbonate reflectors, high powered LEDs, 100% optically pure acrylic LED lenses and shatterproof polycarbonate lens covers, these LED emitters are designed to provide a bright, uniform light pattern in tough environments. Rated dust and water tight at IP68 (ingress protection) and supported with rubber shock isolators, these LED emitter lights run on any voltage between 9 volts and 32 volts, providing a versatile lighting source for industrial, military, mining, security, boating and off road applications. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO REVIEW AND PURCHASE OUR LED LIGHTS.
The www.magnalight.com LED emitter lights uses a patent pending LED and reflector combination to provide a high powered, projected light source for vehicles, heavy equipment and security applications. Each LED is combined with its own reflector and clustered into an array. As a result, these LED lights emit a wide spot pattern (or a modified spot pattern) which falls in between a narrow spot and a flood pattern. We can also provide long distance spot and short, wide flood beams as well.

Ultraviolet Light: The Usefulness of Light Beyond the Visible Range
Ultraviolet radiation is just above the wavelengths of visible light with a range of 400 nm (nanometers) to 10 Nm. Ultraviolet is a highly energetic form of electromagnetic radiation and as such can have a significant impact on molecular structures and chemical compounds depending on the particular wavelength of the UV being used. Generally, UV above 315Nm (UVA) is considered less energetic and has little biological effect while UV below 315 (UVB-UVC)is considered more energetic and can cause se [...] |

The Higher Cost of LEDs: The Reasons May Surprise You
China, with its heavy emphasis on developing its economic and political power, has seen an explosion of potential in the market for its rare earth minerals and as a result taken several steps towards managing this now almost indispensible resource. Manufacturers of everything from to cell phones, televisions, and solar power equipment and yes, LEDs, rely on a steady and adequate supply of these minerals. In 2010, manufacturers became quite alarmed when China announced its plans to cut back on it [...] |

Ultraviolet Light, NDT, and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection
Fluorescent penetrant inspection is much the same, however, due to the fluorescent properties of the liquid dye’s that are used, special lighting in the ultraviolet or (black light) end of the light spectrum is required to produce maximum flaw visibility. Fluorescent penetrant inspection is often preferred over visible penetrant inspection because it provides a higher degree of detection sensitivity. Not only does the penetrant “mark” the area of imperfection, it radiates light when exposed to u [...] |

New Energy Standards Changing How We Look at Lighting
Most manufacturers have traditionally labeled their lighting products according to wattage and lumen output. It’s always been understood that higher wattage means a brighter bulb, and that higher lumen output means a brighter bulb as well. With incandescent bulbs this has been essentially true. Unfortunately, due to the unique properties of LEDs, wattage and lumens are no longer a simple baseline that can be relied on to deliver an accurate perception of a lamps performance. An LED lamp may prod [...] |

Paint Booth Lights for Modern Paint Types
Paint manufacturers have taken these physical properties farther, and now use various pigments and materials to enhance the reflective or absorption properties of other materials to produce colors of exceptional intensity and hue. The problem for paint booth operators is obvious; with such complexities introduced into paint coloration and characteristics, being able to accurately match or reproduce colors is made more difficult. When light hitting an object does not contain a full spectrum of co [...] |

Unseen Benefits of LEDs
With all the excitement over the potential savings in energy and maintenance costs associated with LED lighting, its very easy to overlook some of the less obvious cost saving benefits they bring. Most of the focus on LEDs centers on their ability to produce light much more efficiently than traditional incandescent bulbs. Because incandescent bulbs create light by heating a filament with electrical current, much of the energy they consume is radiated as heat rather than light. [...] |
